- Doc - Word documents from 97-2003 are in this format.
- Docx - Default document that Word saves as.
- HTML - Converts the document into a webpage.
- PDF - Is the most portable, great for final documents and locks in the stylings.
- TXT - Can be opened in any program that can read text but will strip any formatting.

What you listed are definitely the most opened and produced file formats by and from Chapter 4 Microsoft Word :-)

Learning about document file formats have helped me submit online assignments. Because I use a MacBook, documents save differently and I had to convert the document to .docx

ReplyDeleteI can only imagine the US military still using old file formats, when I left the service in 2016 they still had computers using windows XP.
