Ch. 12 Terza rima ... ish

Swamped, crushed, mired, moored.

Yes a rampaging beast that does not cease.

The end of term can be a boar.

One can often find themselves with books thrown into their face.

We drink cup after cup of vigorous viscous liquid.

To what end do we chase?

We obscure ourselves from the truth blinded by these waters we find ever so limpid.

The path in front of us may be clear but getting there can fill one with fear.

A fear so true that it may leave one’s soul fridged.

Creeping ebbing a fear ever so near.

Shout, fight, self-affirm, through all these doubts and all these trials we rise.

No matter how far or how close our dreams are, side by side together we will Persevere.

A Poem by Silver Ray Evens

  1. Very timely poem as we are approaching the final 30 days of our semester together ^_^

    Fear?

Hmm... I hope to turn that fear into excitement in this coming Saturday's class as I walkthrough 'Fun with Functions', A6 Spreadsheet Analysis with Trailer, BQ1 through BQ11, and elaborate on how the remaining portion of our semester shifts from a determined and analytical mindset to a creative one :-)

  2. End of semester is almost here. The road is still not clear. In which I don't fear. I march through life just like Poseidon with a heavy spear. Don't you dare come near. For it is fear that will strike when the end is here.

  6. The final 30 days will go by faster than you know it with Thanksgiving break and Christmas coming up. Everyone will be so busy with family that school will pass by in a flash.

  7. The end is coming. It will be a bitter sweet departure, but I will always cherish the moments we shared together as a class. It is the perfect poem for the occasion to come.

  8. Great poem! In the present moment, I love counting down to departures and endings as one normally does when they have goals in mind; however, when the time comes, I get a little sad knowing I'm not going to see the same group of people or environment anymore. And when time passes, I like to look back and reminisce on those memories.
